XML-RPC

XML-RPC is a protocol RPC (Remote Procedure Call), a simple specification and a whole of codes which allow processes being carried out in different environments to make calls of methods through a network.

The processes of remote invocation use the protocol HTTP for the transport of the Donnée S and the standard XML for the coding of the Donnée S.

XML-RPC is conceived to make it possible Structures of complex data to be transmitted, carried out and returned very easily.

XML-RPC is the ancestor of SOAP.
