XIIe Egyptian dynasty

This dynasty marks the return to one period of power and balance which will culminate with the reigns of Sésostris {{III}} and of Amenemhat {{III}}. The military campaigns and mining forwardings outside the borders reinforce the influence of Egypt. This period of almost two centuries is marked by the development of the Fayoum, a found economic prosperity and the emergence of an artistic current which will give rise to one period known as traditional. This dynasty is originating in Thèbes.
