XCal

xCal is version in conformity XML of the format ICalendar

xCal is the representation of the iCalendar objects in XML. xCal is neither an alternative nor the next generation of ICalendar. xCal does nothing but represent the components, properties, and parameter iCalendar, like defined in iCalendar.

This format at summer taken again to facilitate its translation into the format iCalendar by using a transformation XSLT.
