X-face

A X-Face is small a image bitmap attached in heading of email or article Usenet.

Their dimension is of 48 × 48 pixels, them Depth of color of 1 bit (black and white binary without nuances of gray).

The X-Face are placed in the heading of the emails or articles in a field X-Face, and are encodés with displayable characters ASCII (except white space).

To carry out this encoding, all the editors of image bitmap not proposing this format, it is possible to use a coder such as for example compface or WinFace.
