Wynonie Harris

Wynonie ( Mr. Blues ) Harris (born the August 24th 1915 with Omaha, Nebraska - died the June 14th 1969) was a Chanteur of Blues and Rhythm and American blues .

Biography

During its youth Wynonie Harris works in the orchestra of Lucky Millinder. In 1944 its disc “Who Threw the Whiskey in the Well? ” is its first success. Other successes follow it, whose “Wynonie' S Blues” (with Illinois Jacquet), “All She Wants to Do is Rock”, “(Don' T Roll Those) Bloodshot Eyes (At Me)”, “Good Morning, Judge”, “I Coils my Baby' S Pudding”, " Calm Whiskey" , and “Loving Machine. ”

It records also a Cover version of “Good Rockin' Tonight”, originally composed and recorded by Roy Brown; the version of Harris is more frantic and employs a happy fort back (stressing of the second and the fourth time of measurement), thus preceding the Rock-and-roll.

At the end of the year 1950 it will turn over in anonymity. Its texts (alcohol and women) as its attitude were too adult for the public rock'n'roll and teenager of the time; Wynonie " Mr. Blues" Harris was a powerful singer of which effects of voice will not be forgotten by the artists of rock'n'roll and drunk person music.
