Wyclef Jean

Wyclef Jean or Wyclef is a Chanteur of producing Reggae and , born with Haiti the October 17th 1972. He was member of the group Fugees.

Biography

Born Wyclef Jeannelle Jean, the October 17th 1972 with Cross-of-Bouquets, in Haiti, it emigrates in the United States at the age of ten years and share food in the allotments of Brooklin' S Malborough to join its family. It is there that it meets Pras Michel which will be his large friend of childhood, so much and so that they will autoproclameront cousins.

It leaves to continue its studies in the north of the New Jersey, where it begins the guitar and studies the Jazz with the college (High school).

There low, it will have as a classmate Lauryn Hill with whom him and his friend of childhood created in 1987 the group The Tranzlator Crew which will become The Fugees with the beginning of the year 1990. With Fugees, it recorded in 1994 the album Blunted One Reality, then in 1996, The Score which is always the album of Hip-Hop more sold with the world.

In 1997 each member of Fugees works on projects solo and Wyclef leaves Wyclef Jean Presents: The Carnival Featuring the Refugee AlStars .

It is very committed for its native land and with created the Wyclef Jean Foundation . It also founded, an organization of the name of yélé Haiti the January 13rd 2005. It invited Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to celebrate the birthday of the organization.

In 2006, in order to come to assistance of the American immigrants latino of the USA Wyclef Jean records " Nuestro Himno" , Spanish version of the American anthem ( The Star-Spangled Banner ) with Pitbull, Carlos Ponce, Olga Tañón, Ivy Queen, Andy Andy, Autoridad of the Sierra, Aventura & Rayito, Kalimba, LDA, Tony Sunshine, Patrulla 81, Frank Reyes, Gloria Trevi, Yamayea, Klabe, Reik, Kany.

This same year it appears in the documentary musical one of Michel Gondry: Dave Chappelle' S Block Party, in which one sees reforming on a scene of Brooklyn Fugees 8 years after their separation.
