WrestleMania IV

WrestleMania IV is the fourth WrestleMania of the history of the World Wrestling Entertainment, and was held the March 27th 1988 with the Trump Plaza of Atlantic City, New Jersey.

During the evening, a tournament was organized to determine new WWF Champion, the vacant title being left after a match discussed between Hulk Hogan and André the Giant.

Bad News Brown gained a Royal Battle with 20 (10: 40)

the participants were Bad News Brown, Boris Zhukov, Bret Hart, Brian Blair, Danny Davis, George Steele, Harley Race, Hillbilly Jim, Jacques Rougeau, Jim Brunzell, Jim Neidhart, Jim Powers, Junkyard Dog, Ken Patera, Nikolai Volkoff, Paul Roma, Raymond Rougeau, Ron Bass, Sam Houston and Sika
Brown and Hart cooperated for élimier Junkyard Dog. Brown eliminated then Hart to gain the royal battle after having attacked Hart by behind with a ghetto blaster.
Hart later attacked Brown and broke the trophy which was given to the winner.

Hogan and Andre was disqualified for use of chairs.

One Man Gang was exempted of quarterfinal and was qualified for the semi-finals.

Savage carried out fallen on Valentine with a roll-up after having countered its Figure Furnace leglock.

Brutus Beefcake def. Intercontinental WWF Champion The Honky Tonk Man (W Jimmy Binder) by disqualification (6: 30)

Honky Tonk Man was disqualified after Hart struck the referee with his Mégaphone, it thus preserved the title.

the referee was really wounded following this attack and was to be helped apart from the boxing ring.

Final of the tournament: Randy Savage (W Miss Elizabeth and Hulk Hogan) def. Ted DiBiase (W Andre the Giant) to gain vacant WWF Championship (9: 27)

Savage carried out fallen on DiBiase following Flying Elbow Drop after a blow from chair from Hulk Hogan on DiBiase (in counterpart of the multiple interventions of Andre in the match).
