WrestleMania I

WrestleMania (chronologically known as WrestleMania I ) is very first the WrestleMania of the history of the World Wrestling Entertainment, and was held the March 31st 1985 with the Madison Square Garden of New York.

It appeared that the first statement of the WWF was in fact The Wrestling Classic in the month of November 1985, a tournament which proceeded with the Rosemont Horizon of Rosemont in the Illinois, but first WrestleMania which took seat in March of this same year was paying in some markets.

For first WrestleMania, Vince McMahon began promotion with MTV and some celebrities like Muhammad Ali, Liberace and Cyndi Lauper which appeared during the show.

    • Valentine in the beginning beat JYD with roll-up whereas it was helped of the cords.   • Andre the Giant def. Big John Studd (W Bobby Heenan) in a 15.000$ Body Slam match (5: 53)
    • AndrĂ© the Giant carried a body slam on Big John Studd to gain the match. After the match, AndrĂ© jettait the currency with crowd with the misfortune of Heenan.
    • the stipulation of this match was that if Andre failed to carry a slam on Studd, it was to take his retirement of wrestling.
  • Wendi Richter (W Cyndi Lauper) def. Leilani Kai (W The Fabulous Moolah) to gain WWF Women' S Championship (6: 12)
    • Richter beat Kai after having reversed the flying bodypress of Kai from of fallen.
  • Hulk Hogan and Mr. T (W Jimmy Snuka) def. Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff (W Cowboy Bob Orton) (with Muhammad Ali as a special referee outside) (13: 13)
    • Hogan carried out fallen on Orndorff after Orton struck it accidentally.
