Wrather jack

Jack Wrather (May 24th 1918 - November 12th 1984) was a directing contractor then of its company, the Wrather Company.

It was before any producer of television and took part in the foundation of PBS with the station KCET of Los Angeles.

In 1955 it was approached by Walt Disney, one of his/her friends, to finance a hotel beside Disneyland. It was the Disneyland Hotel with Anaheim, California

It bought also the steamer Queen Mary with Long Beach, California and some buildings around which it developed in tourist area.

Until its death in 1984 he refused to resell his rights to the Walt Disney Company. Its having rights managed an agreement only in January 1988, the January 21st 1988 Disney signs the repurchase of the possessions of the Wrather Company for 152 million $ and 89 million debt.

Disney repurchased the entirety of the company, but resold the properties of Long Beach with the municipality in 1992.
