Wrap Soleau

The envelope Soleau , of the name of its inventor, is a proof of anteriority of an invention which one can use in France to obtain unquestionable date of an invention or an idea by depositing it with the National institute of the industrial property (INPI).

It is made up of two parts, the shipper must include a description of the idea in question in each part of the envelope. INPI punches the parts of them to authenticate the date of reception of it, and one returns from there to the shipper. The shipper must keep closed the part which returns to him, it will be open only in the event of litigation.

With the difference in a patent, of a deposit of model, the owner of the envelope does not have exclusive right on the invention or the model. If it is about an invention, he shows that he knew the invention before there is deposit of a Brevet with INPI, which enables him to continue to exploit it with personal capacity. The possibility of exploitation with personal capacity is very restricted in practice and cannot be yielded to thirds.
