Wout Wagtmans is a former racing cyclist on road and track Dutch, born the November 10th 1929 with Rucphen and deceased the August 15th 1994 with Sint Willebrord.
He was the cousin of Marinus Wagtmans, itself racing cyclist.
In 1949, he becomes Champion amateur of Holland on road.
It will become professional in 1950 and until in 1961 will remain it. It will gain 35 victories.
Wout Wagtmans obtained good performances on track and became Champion of Holland Against the watch of the Clubs in 1951 and Champion of Holland de Demi-Fond in 1958.
It took part in 9 Tours of France and was classified: abandonment in 1950 and 1951, 25e in 1952, 5th in 1953, abandonment in 1954, 19th in 1955, 6th in 1956, abandonment in 1957 and 1961.
It gained 4 victories of stages: 2 in the Turn 1953 in the 17th stage of Monaco to Gap and in the 21e stage of Saint-Etienne to Montlucon, 1 in the Turn 1954 in the 1st stage of Amsterdam Brasschaat with Antwerp and 1 in the Turn 1955 in the 19th stage of Pau to Bordeaux.
It also had happiness to on the whole carry during 12 days the Yellow jersey in the Tour 1954 during 7 days, in the Tour 1955 during 2 days and in the Tour 1956 during 3 days.
It also took part in its national Turn: the Turn of Holland or it was classified 14th in 1951, 2nd in 1952 and 6th in 1954 and 1955.
