Worms Blast is a Video game of arcade belonging to the series Worms. He is played in real-time, in mode screen splity, and its universe is carried out partially in 2 dimensions, partiellemement in 3 dimensions although the action proceeds only on two dimensions. It is published by Team17.
Worms Blast radically different is compared with the precedents opus. Indeed, it has Worms only the name: so certain characters are worms, the principle of play does not have anything to see.
Worms Blast puts in scene a relatively simple principle. Whole of hexagonal blocks of various colors falls little by little from the sky, more and more quickly, and the player, not to be crushed, must handle his character who is with the lower part in a boat. He can thus avoid the blocks but especially draw with the Bazooka from the shells whose colors change in a fixed order. A shell of a given color which arrives on a block of the same color destroys it like any adjacent block of the same color, thus causing a chain reaction. If the colors do not correspond, the block and the blocks immédaditement adjacent with the touched block change color and become color of the shell.
Parallel to this principle, where the two players evolve/move each one on their side, one can find in the cases of the special weapons aiming helping us or at handicapping the adversary. Some of enters even make it possible to attack it directly, and can be thus added to the loss of life caused by the contact with the blocks to kill a character and finally to eliminate his owner from the part. Moreover, the separator between the two players opens regularly, making it possible to draw directly on the adversary or its blocks (which become gray then, i.e. the player will have, to get rid some, initially to change them a color of its choice by a shooting before destroying them by a shooting of the same color).
In addition to this multijouor mode, there exists a solo mode or missions mode which makes it possible to unbolt new characters, each one equipped with clean abilities (better rate of travel, shooting, more points of life, etc). This mode takes again the same elements but diverts them in order to obtain other principles like a play of snake. A challenge mode takes again certain missions of the solo mode: the bjectif one is then to obtain the best possible score.
Many mechanisms like fish or Blast Mode come to enrich this title, but it met only naked success mitigated because of its principle of play which remains very simplistic and little rich person compared with the preceding Worms. Its graphic realization made up of elements 3D however already let foresee the passage to the 3D initiated by Worms 3D.
