She then put herself to sow terror in the area, devastating harvests and the forests, devouring the cattle and the children. The inhabitants were forced to be locked up on their premises, fearing the Malédiction giant worm. They found however a solution with their misfortunes. Taking as a starting point an old receipt, which was used at the origin to calm the dragons, they tried appaiser the Serpent while giving him to drinking milk. Thus, a morning, they filled with fresh milk a gigantic trough, that the Monstre goal with greed. And indeed, it remained calm the day and the night which followed. But morning according to, when the Serpent saw that there was no more milk at its disposal, it was taken of fury. When John Lambton was of return, it was horrified by the vision at the hill, surrounded of the rings of the Serpent. It decided that was with him to put the stupid at death. He learned from an old woman Sorcière that, to come to end from the worm, he was to kill it in the river from where he had fished it, while vêtant himself of a special armor, equipped with sharp blades.
