World of darkness 2
The Monde of darkness 2 ( World off Darkness 2 ) is a series of Roleplays based on the same universe and making it possible each one to interpret a type of different character. The series is published by White Wolf Publishing and is published in French by Hexagonal. In spite of many misleading appearances, it does not have any bond with the Monde of darkness . It is necessary rather to see this new world of darkness like a general recasting of the old range, so much on the level of the contents of the world (various environment, geopolitics, factions) that system of play.
But the New World off Darkness is before a whole complete book making it possible to introduce the remainder of the range.
Plays in the World of darkness 2
Although the basic book of the new world of darkness is sufficed for itself as a play, it is before a a whole footbridge towards other more specific plays.

Description of the universe of play
Le Monde of Darkness wants to be Gothique - Punk . Gothic in the romantic direction and fantastic of the term because all the stories and rumors concerning of the supernatural forces is founded there. The creatures of the night, the vampires, the death-alive, the wolf-garous and the wizard exist and remain in the shade since mists of time. Gothic also in the architecture which wants to be with the image of the world, namely tortured and imposing, filled up indecipherable symbols for the uninitiated persons. Punk, in the literal sense of the term because it is a contemporary world where the values are lost, where criminality is gallopping, where the social reference marks are confused and where ecology is with the drag.
But it is before a whole world where the policy is very present, the 3eminences grise directing in the shade often belong to supernatural factions. All is pretext with power struggles, as well on the level of the street, as of the governments or corporations and this through the history dpuis the paddle of humanity.
Various inspirations
One can see in the world of darkness various sources of cinematographic or literary inspirations, usable with wish by the Masters of play to create environment.

Contrary to certain rumors, the film Underworld forever inspired White Wolf. On the contrary: the security company of World off Darkness brought a lawsuit with the producers of film for plagiarism (Official site of White Wolf (English)).
The System of play
As in good system of roleplay, the dice have an important place in the management of the critical events. In fact, of the dice with 10 faces are used in grouping in general representing the addition of caractéritique and a competence. Successes amount of many dice equal to or higher than 8. From the point of view of the dice, the system is very close to the first world of darkness but seems to have gummed much its inherent defects to come to a system not simplified, but more fluid and intuitive.
Out of the jets of dice, White Wolf did not change her policy since the beginning. Their plays are prevailed of the heading play of the art of the storyteller . Because in this system, the rules are before all an average extreme. The important thing is the dialog, the setting in environment, a kind of version improved, interactive, stories of horror told with the corner of fire.
