World cup of the clubs

The World cup of the clubs is a competition of Football putting at the catches the best clubs of the six continental confederations.

History

The first edition was held of the 5 with the January 14th 2000 with the Brésil and saw the victory of Brazilian SC Corinthians.

FIFA had programmed an 2nd edition in 2001, but it was deferred then cancelled. In 2005, the FIFA positions back this tournament instead of the intercontinental Coupe. The edition 2005 was thus held with the Japan. The South American clubs have until now always preceded the European clubs on the level of the victories finally, although the Européens had sent each time their team there first.
