World cup of biathlon
The World cup of Biathlon was held for the first time during winter 1977/1978 for the men. For the women the 1st official edition is that of season 1986/1987, but semi-officially they is 1982/1983 with the Cut of female Europe which was in practice opened with best world and not only to the European ones.
Organization
The World cup is organized by the International union of biathlon and proceeds every year of December in March. The stages of World cup generally begin Wednesday to be completed Sunday and are made up of 3 tests. The large ones return from the season are the stages in Germany (Oberhof, Ruhpolding), and in Italy (Antholz - Anterselva SudTirol) marked by a public always very many.
