The World cup of Alpine skiing 1969 begins the December 11th 1968 with the Femmes giant from Valley-in Isere and finishes the March 22nd 1969 with the Hommes slaloms and Women of Waterville Valley.
The Men dispute 22 tests: 6 descents, 7 giants and 9 slaloms.
The Women dispute 20 tests: 4 descents, 7 giants and 9 slaloms.
During the season 1969, there is neither Olympic Games nor championships of the world.

After 3 seasons in half-tone, Karl Schranz carries out a return to the foreground. The Austrian dominates the first tests with 3 victories and 5 podiums in 6 races and easily allocates general classification as well as the classifications of the descent and the giant.
The world cup of slalom is gained by 4 skiers: French Patrick Russel, Jean-Christmas Augert and Alain Penz and the Austrian Alfred Matt.
The Femmes world cup is a duel between Annie Famose and Gertrude Gabl. But the French , favorite for the final victory, breaks the leg with the drive of the descent of Sankt Anton on January 30th, 1969.
Gabl is the Austrian first to gain the world cup, with only 20 years and half, and at the conclusion one season marked by a crystal ball in slalom and 4 victories.
The world cup begins for the first time in December, with Valley-in Isere.
