World classification of snooker 2007/2008

The world classification of snooker 2007/2008 is the world classification of the 82 professional players best classified for the season 2007/2008. The points are calculated by adding the points accumulated at the time of the two former seasons (2005/2006 and 2006/2007).

Material changes

The classifications of this season accommodated a certain number of notable changes compared to the former seasons:
  • Ding Junhui (assembled the 27th one in the 9th place), Mark Selby (of 28th with 11th) and Ryan Day (of 17th with 16th) joined signal 16 for the first time. Graeme Dott, Shaun Murphy, Neil Robertson and Allister Carter reached the best classification of their career.
  • Jimmy White is descended from the 35ème place to the 60ème, after the least productive season of its career: it accumulated 5725 points during season 2006/2007, against 6450 for season 2005/2006.
  • Matthew Stevens, classified 4th into 2005/2006, is descended from 14th in the 20th place.

  • Three players reappear in signal 32 - Dave Harold (36ème with 30ème), Dominic Dale (40ème with 31ème) and Gerald Greene (39ème with 32ème).
  • Five players left signal 32: James Wattana (25th with 33ème), David Gray (23rd with 35ème), Alan McManus (19th with 38ème), Andy Hicks (31ème with 41ème) and Robert Milkins (32ème with 47ème).
  • Andrew Higginson is assembled of 66 places, while passing from the 110ème to the 44ème. It is about the greatest progression of this season.
  • Tony Drago is descended out of signal 64, passing from the 52ème to the 68ème place.
