World TEAM Cup
The World TEAM Cup (or World cup by teams) is a male test of Tennis by team.
Disputed traditionally with Dusseldorf on ground beaten, one week before the beginning of the International of France with Roland-Garros, it joins together 8 nations divided into two groups of 4.
The matches between nations are held in two simple follow-ups of a double. The two nations which one gained their group meet then finally.
Nonofficial test (it does not distribute points ATP), the World TEAM Cup constitutes an ideal preparation for Roland-Garros because it makes it possible to the players to dispute several matches, enabling them to acclimatize itself to the beaten ground.
The countries which generally gained World TEAM Cup are the the United States, the Germany and the Spain with 4 victories.
