World Press Photo
World Press Photo is an independent and not-lucrative organization founded in 1955 and based with Amsterdam, Netherlands. Its goal is to stimulate and support the development of the Photojournalisme, to encourage the transmission of knowledge in this field and to promote the free and not-restricted exchange of information. This organization works with the international scales. It thus organizes many events throughout the world: conferences, workshops and, once per annum, the " Joop Swart Masterclass".
It is known especially to organize each year a prestigious contest of photojournalism, with many categories in addition to “World Press Photo of the year”:

Once the announced prizes winner, the gaining photographs are brought together in a road show which visits 40 different countries and touches million visitors. Moreover, one book showing these photographs is published in 6 languages.
