World Air Balloons

The Mondial Air Balloons is one of the largest gatherings of Montgolfière S after that of Albuquerque to the New Mexico ( ).

This demonstration proceeds every two years on the old air base of NATO (Chambley Air Bases), located on several communes of which Chambley, Saint-Julien-the-Gorze and Dommartin-the-Roadway in Meurthe-et-Moselle.

Assessment 2005

During the 9th edition of 22 with the July 31st 2005, 261 “ the lighter than the air ” established the record of longest takeoff on line of the world.

The other key period was the reconstitution of the first human flight using a counterpart of the balloon of the Frères Montgolfier used the November 21st 1783 by Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier and François Laurent Marquis d' Arlandes.
