Working arrangement is a Latin expression which means manner literally of living .

One can define it as an agreement allowing two parts in litigation to put up with a situation, i.e. to find a compromise.

In the field of the international relations one defines it as an instrument consigning an international agreement of temporary or provisional nature which must be replaced by a more permanent and more detailed device. It is generally developed in a semi-official way and never requires ratification .

This expression was used by George F. Kennan, adviser of embassy of Moscow in July 1947 then included in its book the nuclear Mirage, in 1984.
