Woodside Petroleum

Woodside Petroleum is an oil company based in Australia, that Shell has several times, in vain, tempted to repurchase. Its foundation goes back to 1954, and was decided to exploit the first oil reservoir found in the country. Its production out of oil and gas adds up more than 60 million barrils per annum (by adding gas with oil in the form of an energy equivalence). Australia remains the principal zone of activity of Woodside, which however holds production and/or user licenses in ten of other countries. Woodside is a very important producer of liquefied Natural gas, operating the " project; Northwest Shelf" in Australia.
