Wonders off Life

Wonders off Life is a house of the park EPCOT of Walt Disney World Resort dedicated to health and the human body. It contains several attractions, exposures, shops and other services.

Since January 2004 the house is open in a seasonal way but attractions had already an erratic behavior since the loss of the partner MetLife in June 2001. The January 4th 2005, Disney made the official decision to open the house only during the holidays and the summer months. A rumor indicates that the house would close at the end of 2006.

The house and its contents

The concept of a house dedicated to health and the human body goes back to the origin of park EPCOT, but it was not built because no partner had been found. It is in June 1988 that MetLife signs a contract with Disney but it is only of qautre years instead of the ten for the houses or five for Innoventions. Disney wanted to interest of other partners and to have another house of the type of Innoventions but dedicated to medicine, health and the man.

The house is an important geodetic dome gilded located between Universe off Energy and Mission: Space. The entry of the house is marked by a monument representing a portion of chain DNA.

The house opened in October 1989 with several attractions, of the restaurants and the shops. In June 2001, the contract with MetLife ended and no noueau partner was found. The January 4th 2005, Disney made the decision of a seasonal opening only.

Attractions

Body Wars is a simulator of wheel taking on board the visitors in a voyage in the vascular system at the rate/rhythm of blood flow.

Cranium Command is a spectacle mixing actors, film and Audio-animatronic S. He explains the functions of the human brain and his interactions with the remainder of the body.

Well and Goods Limited makes it possible to buy products " bons" for the health of which articles of sports.

Pure & Simple proposed various type of sandwiches (closed in January 2004)
