Wolfgang Ebner (* 1612 with Augsburg - † February 12th 1665 with Vienna) was a Organiste, choirmaster and German Compositeur .
He was organist of the cathedral Saint-Etienne ( Stephansdom ) of Vienna starting from 1634, and of the Imperial Vault as from 1637: he became about it then the choirmaster in 1663. His/her twin brother Markus (1612 - 1681) also exerted in Vienna and was organist of the Imperial Vault of 1655 with 1680.
Wolfgang Ebner wrote, inter alia, of the variations for the harpsichord ( Aria augustissimi ac invictissimi Imperatoris Ferdinandi III: XXXVI modis variata, ac pro cimbalo accomodata , Prague, 1648), of the dance tunes, the motet and ballet music. François Roberday borrowed a topic of Mr. Ebnert (sic) for one of the parts of its collection of " Runnings away and Caprices".
