Wolfe gene

Gene Rodman Wolfe (born on May 7th, 1931 with Brooklyn) is an American writer of Science-fiction and Fantasy. It is known for its writing very rich in allusions and for the influence of its faith Catholique on its writings. Works of Wolfe, novels like news, were nominated with many recoveries for the Prix Hugo, the Prix Nebula and the Prix World Fantasy.

Gene Wolfe was used during the Guerre as Korea and became engineer in industry on his return to the the United States. During many years, he was writer of the review Plant Engineering , before becoming writer full-time. Little known detail, the career of engineer de Gene Wolfe is in particular marked by its contribution with the industrialization of the production of the chips Pringles .

Wolfe was impassioned very young person for the science fiction and wrote texts in this kind since 1956. It publishes for the first time in 1965. In years 1960 and 70, he writes many news published in specialized magazines. In 1980, it publishes the first volume of the Livre of the second sun of Teur, cycle which constitutes its main work.

Wolfe became catholic after its marriage with a woman of this confession.

Gene Wolfe lives today in Barrington, in the suburbs of Chicago.
