Within the Realm off has Dying Sun

Within the Realm off has Dying Sun is the title of the third album of the duet Dead Can Dance. This disc is appeared the July 27th 1987 at 4AD under the number of catalog CAD705.

The album is undoubtedly the last recorded at one time when Brendan Perry and LISA Gerrard still formed a couple at the city. The general tonality of the album is dark and sometimes dramatic, in perfect harmony with the small pocket, which presents only one black stringcourse and a photo catch to the Cimetière of the Father-Lachaise. It represents the whining one which decorates fall it from Raspail. The album would correspond to one moment when several close relations of the members of the group would have died.

It is the album of the group which has the most traditional sound: a small formation of cords and coppers ensure the instrumental part. The sound of the trumpets contributes much to the funeral environment of the music, as on Dawn off the Iconoclast or the contemporary piece of this album The Protagonist , included on compilation Lonely is year Eyesore. The music also incorporates accompaniments in counterpoint, for which Brendan Perry followed courses of musicology.

The album has as an originality to clearly separate the pieces sung by Brendan Perry and those interpreted by LISA Gerrard (last four, among which traditional the Cantara ). They laid out each one of a face of the edition 33 turns.
