Synopsis

The Marche-Arrêt star has the effect of functioning during thirty-five years, then to die out during the two hundred and fifteen following years. Facing the difficulties, a technically advanced civilization nevertheless succeeded in developing on Arachnia, the only planet of this solar system. It is about people of intelligent, active spiders for the periods of lighting of the Marche-Arrêt star and which enters in hibernation at the time of sound extinction.
Attracted by the radio operator signals of the very new age of the spiders, two very different forwardings move towards Marche-Arrêt. Queng Ho are merchants of information attracted by the only profit while the Emergent ones represent a violent company animated by a will of conquest. Thanks to their single technology using of the Focused , i.e. the human ones controlled like machines, the Emergent ones come quickly to end from Queng Ho. Nevertheless, confrontation was so fatal, that the technological resources are reduced to their minimum and that two joined together forwardings do not have any more an other recourse but to await the development of a technological company on Arachnia to hope for repartir.
However, an individual could come to upset all the plans because it is that forwarding Queng Ho sheltered, without its knowledge, a mythical character, Pham Nuwen, equipped with a thousand-year-old trick.
