With the friend who did not save me the life is a novel of Herve Guibert published in 1990 at Gallimard.

On the mode of the Autofiction, the author tells how he discovered that he had the AIDS. This account made scandal at the time of its exit and revealed the writer with the general public. Herve Guibert passed in particular in the television program Apostrophes on March 16th, 1990, then in " Ex libris " March 7th, 1991, for the exit of the Protocol compassionnel . the Man with the red hat (1992) comes to supplement these two books. I had the AIDS for three months. More exactly, I believed for three months which I was condemned by this fatal disease that one calls the AIDS.
