Wise-Paris

WISE-Paris (World Information Service one Energy) is an agency of information and studies on energy based with Paris, near to the antinuclear Mouvement.

Although they are homonymous, Wise-Paris is distinguished from network WISE, a global area network of militants Antinucléaire S based with Amsterdam.

The service of documentation of WISE-Paris is the fruit of a compilation of sources since its creation in 1983, it includes/understands national and international works, reports and scientific, press articles as well as the access to more than one thousand of computerized databases. On the basis of this service of documentation, Wise-Paris claims to be able to make state of information and the reflection on the energy and the Environnement in France and in the world.

Customers and partners

Wise-Paris provided information papers on the nuclear energy to UNESCO, with the the European Parliament, CNRS and Greenpeace. Wise-Paris also provided council, expertise and documentation with customers such as the French ministry of the environment, the International association of the doctors for the prevention of the nuclear war or the Forum Plutonium. Its founder and first director, Mycle Schneider, were in particular auditioned by the Parliamentary office of evaluation of the scientific and technological choices (OPECST) and several prefectures in France, the House off Lords in England, a parliamentary commission in Sweden and the House of Commons in Belgium.

Wise-Paris worked for televisions, radios and newspapers of many countries. It contributes regularly to Radio France Internationale (RFI), Deutschlandradio, public German television WDR or the Japanese national chain NHK. Several publications went to seek articles, information or council in WISE-Paris, of which in France Le Monde, diplomatic Le Monde, Libération, Information-Morning, the Express train, the Event of Thursday, That To choose… In the United Kingdom the BBC, The Observer, New Scientist, The Guardian… Or in Germany ZDF-TV, Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, Stern, Frankfurter Rundschau, Die tageszeitung
