Wireshark (in the past Ethereal) is a Free software of analysis of protocol, or “  Packet sniffer  ”, used in the breakdown service and the analysis of data-processing networks, the development of Protocol S, education and retro-engineering, but also the hacking.

Wireshark recognizes 759 Protocole S different.

History

June 8th, 2006 - the project Ethereal is famous Wireshark for reasons of Copyright. The developer of ethereal/wireshark changed employer and could not find agreement with its old company (Network Integration Services, Inc.), which has the rights on the name Ethereal, as well as the property and the access codes to the www.ethereal.com waiter.
