The Wireless USB or WUSB is a data-processing standard of technology radio short distance intended to simplify connections between the electronic devices. It aims supplementing and at replacing the standard USB by cable.
Characteristics
The WUSB extends the maximum range of the exchanges to 10 meters compared with 5 meters in USB, with however theoretical outputs offered decreasing according to the distance: of 480 Mbit/s (60 Mo/s) in a radius of 3 meters, they fall to 110 Mbit/s (13,75 Mo/s) in a radius of 10 meters. The access to the data is quantified using the algorithm AES on 128 bits, considered as robust. Standard WUSB does not disturb the connections
Wi-Fi or
Bluetooth to 2,4 GHz because it rests on radio technology with short range Ultra Wide Band (UWB). This technology crosses the obstacles best and exploits frequencies from 3,1 to 10,6 GHz.
It takes again the characteristics of the USB like the maximum number of peripherals: 127.
