Winged dragon of Râ

It is one of the 3 charts of Egyptian Gods of the Manga/Anime Yu-Gi-Oh!. Its name in the manga is: The Winged Dragon of God Râ Sun.

Râ in Manga

In the manga, Râ appears in the form of sphere when he is called upon, its attack and its defense is then equal to 0. By pronouncing an old incantation, it changes form and obeys that which pronounced the incantation. The attack of Râ is then equal to the sum of the attacks of the 3 sacrificed monsters and its defense is equal to the sum of defenses of the 3 sacrificed monsters. By sacrificing monsters on the ground of its controller, the Winged Dragon increases its attack of an amount equal to the attack of the sacrificed monster. It is not affected by the majority of the magics and traps (does of them those which could harm to him). The others function only one turn. If he is called upon cemetery, its controller can activate one of the 2 following effects:
  • Against 1000 points of life, it becomes a phoenix indestructible with the combat and destroyed all the unfavourable monsters.
  • Its controller can amalgamate with him, the points of life of the controller become equal to 1 and RA attacks it becomes the lost points of life.

Râ in Animates

The effects Râ in animates are the same ones as in the manga.

Ghouls (or Hunters of the shade) created copies of the chart of Râ but to use it involves unverifiable effects which had with anger of the true chart of Râ. The effects pass from dead to the madness or an attack of the chart on the 2 players. Among the known users of copies of charts of Râ: It should be noted that Mr. Francis, as an employee of I ², created for itself charts allowing to control Râ without undergoing anger of it. Yuki Judai could use it without undergoing the side effects with l'" of them; accord" of Râ, to punish Mr. Francis.
