Windows 2 , left in 1987, was a second attempt on behalf of Microsoft to publish an graphical interface for PC compatible, following the failure of Windows 1.0.
Contrary to its predecessor, Windows 2.0 made it possible the windows to superimpose, and to cover the bar of the tasks (which became the “office”). This “bar of the tasks” will be reintroduced in Windows 95.
This new management of the windows created a disagreement between Microsoft and Apple, Inc., which affirmed that this new function of the superimposed windows violated an agreement that the two companies had concluded in 1985.
These only innovations with this version of Windows did not interest the public, and Windows 2.0 was once again a failure, which made develop Windows 3.1 by the firm of Redmond.
Simple: Windows 2.0
