Wim Vandekeybus

Wim Vandekeybus is a Danseur, contemporary choreographer, and Belgian Director , born with Lierre in Belgium on June 30th, 1963. He is the founder in 1986 of the company of Contemporary dance Ultima Vez.

Biography

Wim Vandekeybus was born in a rural environment, his/her father being Veterinary surgeon. It began studies of Psychologie which it will never finish, but will keep of this period of its life the direction of a bond between body and spirit.

In liaison with the Flemish director Paul Peyskens, it is directed then towards an artistic career, and takes courses of theater and dance. In 1985, he auditions for Jan Fabre which engages it in its company and where he will be during two years one of the naked dancers of the spectacle The Power off Theatrical Madness
