Williams Sassine (Kankan in Guinea, 1944 - Conakry, February 9th 1997) is a Guinean writer Francophone.

Biography

Of father Lebanon board and Guinean mother, he becomes tropical engineer in ecology and doctor in mathematics. Exiled at the time of the dictatorships, it returns after independence in 1984 in Guinea, where it collaborates in several periodicals.

A Literary prize Williams Sassine, supported by the Belgian Co-operation with the development, rewards for the new French-speaking people of African origin.
