William Vance
William Vance (born in 1935) is a Belgian draftsman of Cartoon, of which the most known series is XIII .
Biography
William Vance , from her true name William van Cutsem, was born the September 8th 1935 with Anderlecht, in Belgium. It followed to Brussels the courses of the Academy of the Art schools. It is in publicity that it began its career of draftsman, before continuing it in the cartoon.
First accounts
In the years 1960, the Newspaper of Tintin, under the aegis of Hergé put to the test the young draftsmen in their requiring to illustrate short complete accounts, generally in historical matter. Yves Duval, with his impressive documentation, ensured the writing of the scenarios.Thus William Vance illustrated for this magazine 56 accounts published of 1962 to 1967 in the Belgian version of the newspaper of Tintin, the majority having also been published in the French version.
