William Schabas

William A. Schabas (born in 1950), Professor associated with the faculty of political science and right of the department of legal sciences of the University from Quebec in Montreal (UQAM).

Specialist in the International law, of the Capital punishment, the Torture, the Right of the person and the right Rwanda is, it was interested in the legal problems posed by the Génocide in Rwanda. He is also director of the Irish Center of the Human rights to the National university of Ireland to Galway. Editor as a chief of the newspaper Criminal Law Forum , it also worked as a consultant with the ministry for the Justice of the Rwanda, with USAID and SOEC. From 1994 to 1998, he was director of the Department of legal sciences of the Université from Quebec in Montreal.
