William Platt

William Platt (June 14th 1885, Brooklands - September 28th 1975, London) is a British officer .

He fights during the First World War in France and Belgium.

November 11th 1938 with the October 4th 1941, it orders the British troops with the Sudan. For this reason, it directs the Campagne of Érythrée during which the British invade the Italian Eastern Africa. It gains in particular the victory of Keren in March 1941. December 5th 1942 with 1945, he is commander-in-chief of the British troops in East Africa.
