William Lutley Sclater

William Lutley Sclater is a British zoologist , born the September 23rd 1863 and dead the July 7th 1944.

He is the son of Philip Lutley Sclater (1829-1913). After having worked with the natural history museum of Calcutta, it directs the Natural history museum of South Africa of 1896 to 1906. Of 1909 with 1944, it works with the Muséum of natural history of London.

It directs the publication of the review Ibis of 1913 to 1930, chairs the British Ornithologists' Union of 1928 1933 and is secretary of the Royal Geographical Society of 1931 with 1943. It is killed by a V1 in July 1944 with London.
