William LeMessurier
William LeMessurier (born in 1926 with Pontiac, Michigan and dead the June 16th 2007) is an American engineer. He is graduate of Harvard (in architecture and design) and of the Massachusetts Institute off Technology (MIT). He is the founder and chair LeMessurier Consultants , company of engineers specialized in the construction industry and the Architecture.
LeMessurier was responsible for the constuction of many important buildings, of which Boston City Hall (Town hall of Boston). But LeMessurier is especially known to have built the Citigroup Center with New York, since its plans revealed once the finished building of the faults in the construction industry, which could have brought to a collapse of the building in the event of the strong winds. Acependant LeMessurier shown a responsible attitude which made it possible to reinforce the building, so much so that this one constitutes today one of the scrape-sky surest in the world in its structure.
