William Kristol

William “Bill” Kristol (born the December 23rd 1952 with New York) is a journalist, American leader-writer néo-conservative, impassioned partisan of Israel, American power and reinforcement of the American presence to the the Middle East.

Bill Kristol is the son of Irving Kristol, he was initially militant a trotskyste before becoming one of the founders of the movement néo-conservative.

Bill Kristol is graduate of Harvard in political science. It is in Harvard that it meets Alan Keyes, a republican black ultra-conservative and candidate with the republican primary educations of 2000.

After having taught political philosophy at the university of Pennsylvania, Kristol joined the administration of Ronald Reagan in 1985 as principal private secretary of the secretary to education, William Bennett then as principal private secretary of the vice-president daN Quayle in the administration of George H.W. Bush.

After the great republican victory with the Congress in 1994, Kristol joint with the néo-conservative John Podhoretz and Rupert Murdoch to launch a periodic newspaper preserving heading “The Weekly Standard”.

In 1997, it founds with Robert Kagan, a Think tank néo-conservative entitled “Project for a new American century” (Project for the New American Century - PNAC). They are both at the origin of the call to Bill Clinton for a military action in Iraq in order to protect the vital interests from the the United States in the Gulf.

Kristol is also member of the preserving research center “American Enterprise Institute”.

In 2003, Bill Kristol was one of lawyers of the invasion of Iraq and the inversion of Saddam Hussein like precondition to a recombining and a democratization with the the Middle East (Théorie of the dominos).

In 2005, Kristol took part in the drafting of the speech of the second nomination of George W. Bush.

He is today still president of the PNAC, editor of Weekly Standard and regular political chronicler on the chain of information Fox News.

Bill Kristol is married in Susan Scheinberg. They have 3 children.
