Taft is the continuator of the policy of Theodore Roosevelt, in particular in the fight against the large industrial and financial conglomerates. Its lack of charisma will be worth to him to be released by the progressists within his own party what will prevent it from being re-elected. However it will have succeeded in increasing the federal capacity through an agency charged to control the trade between the States and which will be seen entrusting the jurisdiction of the means of communication of the time: telephone, telegraph and radio.
