William Hillhouse

William Hillhouse is a British Botaniste , born the December 17th 1850 with Bedford and dead the January 27th 1910.

He is the son of John Paton Hillhouse. He obtains his Master off Arts and his Master off Sciences with the Trinity College of Cambridge. He is Master assisting in Bedford Modern School of 1867 with 1877. Of 1878 with 1882, he is conservative-assistant with the herbarium of the university of Cambridge. In 1882, he becomes professor in Mason College (which will become the university of Birmingham). Hillhouse is member of the Société linnéenne of London and many others learned societies. He is in particular the author of Practical Botany (1886, republished with many recoveries) with Eduard Adolf Strasburger (1844-1912) as well as many articles. He is Co-editor of the Midland Naturalist of 1887 with 1894.
