William Henry Waddington
William Henry Waddington , born the December 11th 1826 with Saint-Rémy-on-Avre (Eure-et-Loir), dead the January 13rd 1894 with Paris, was a Politician and archeologist French.
He was the son of a British industrialist established in France, and was made naturalize French. In 1849, it represented Cambridge in the Boat Race, race of oar which opposes each year this university to that of Oxford.
In 1865, it was elected with the Académie of the inscriptions and the humanities.
In 1868, it was one of the founders of the École of the high studies.

- 1876 with 1894: senator of Aisne. Beaten in the senatorial elections on January 6th, 1894, he dies the next on January 13rd.
