William Henry Powell
William Henry Powell (1824 with New York - 1879 with New York) was a American painter . He carried out historical portraits and scenes like his famous Discovery off the Mississippi , ordered in 1847 and completed in 1855.
Its works are in particular exposed to the Smithsonian American Art Museum, to the White House, the Capitole of the United States of America or to the Cincinnati Art Museum.
