William Alexander Smith
Sir William Alexander Smith (October 27th 1854 - May 10th 1914) was born with Thurso in Scotland.
Biography
At 19 years, it joined the Église and the same year becomes soldier of first class in the 1st Lanarkshire Rifle Volunteers .Towards 1883, it reached the rank of Lieutenant and sign to the Sunday School . The combination of these two activities leads it to create the Boys' Brigade the October 4th 1883 with the Free Church Mission Hall close to Glasgow. In 1909, it is anobli by the king Edouard VII.
He dies the May 10th 1914 and is buried in Glasgow. There exists a commemorative stone in its honor with the Saint Paul cathedral.
