Willem Luyten Jacob
Willem Jacob Luyten (March 7th 1899 - November 21st 1994) was a Astronome néerlando - American.
It had been born in Indonesia.
He worked with the Observatoire Lick and the Harvard College Observatory, and taught with the Université of Minnesota.
He studied the own movements star S and discovered many dwarf white.
He discovered some of the closest neighbors of the Sun, of which the star of Luyten and the star system Luyten 726-8 with the high own movement, which one discovered quickly that he contained remarkable the eruptive variable star UV Ceti.
