Will Power

Will Power (born on March 1st 1981 with Toowoomba, Australia) is an Australian racing driver. He evolves/moves since 2005 in the championship Champ Because.

Biography

Winner of the championship of Holden Formula in 2002 (Australian equivalent of the Formula 3000), Will Power joined Europe in 2003, initially in the British championship of Formule 3, then in the championship of World Series by Renault in 2005. In spite of several successes, and a test in Formula 1 at the end of 2004 on a Minardi on the initiative of its compatriot Paul Stoddart, the doors of the discipline queen remain closed for the Australian hope.

At the end of 2005, it is invited by the stable of Champ Because TEAM Australia has to dispute the penultimate sleeve of the season in Australia in the streets of Surfer' S Paradise. In spite of an abandonment, the level of competitiveness of Power impresses and is worth to him to be taken back for the following sleeve in Mexico, and to obtain a full-time contract for the season 2006. Within a stable which is not famous to be one of best plate, Power multiplies the blows of glare in qualification, and shown a beautiful regularity in race, rewarded at the end of the year by a podium in Mexico City. Sixth of the final classification of the championship 2006, it is rewarded by the title for better beginning from the year.

In 2007, the technical change of regulation allows a redistribution of the charts and with the TEAM Australia to position like a credible outsider with the championship, which confirms Will Power by dominating the sleeve of opening of the championship in the streets of Las Vegas.
