Wilhelm Taubert

Karl Gottfried Wilhelm Taubert (born the March 23rd 1811 with Berlin; died the January 7th 1891 with Berlin) was a German Compositeur .

Raise Ludwig Berger and of Bernhard Klein, it was named in 1831, at the 20 years age, chief of the Berliner Hofkonzerte ( Orchestre from court of Berlin ) and in 1841 also musical director of the royal Opera. Of 1845 with 1869 it was Kapellmeister court (since 1849 jointly with Heinrich Dorn) and, starting from 1875 representing Musique section of the royal Academy of Arts, to which it belonged since 1834.

Taubert composed of the operas, of the Symphonie S, the Cantate S and the music of theater, of the string quartets, the trios for piano, the Sonate S for piano, violin and violoncello like more than 300 Lied er, of which several Lieder for child as for example Schlaf in guter Ruh (Sleep of a peaceful sleep).
